It’s a real shame when we can’t see politics working collaboratively. Pet theft has increased through the pandemic, but under the law stealing a family pet is the same as stealing a television. Stuff can be replaced but pets can’t.

Labour proposed an amendment to the current Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, which sadly was voted down by the Conservatives including our own MP Vicky Ford. We’re encouraging everyone to write to her and let her know, it doesn’t matter who proposes it, family pets matter and they shouldn’t be treated like objects.
