Chelmsford Labour were scheduled to attend the next demonstration outside of the Bellway offices, when the excellent news came through that Bellway have agreed to cover the cost of the cladding replacement.

We have however been here before, Bellway have made promises they haven’t kept, so we cautiously welcome this latest development. We hope that it is as good as it sounds for all those involved, but we remain ready to help keep Bellway to their word, and we will work with those affected to make sure the outcome they get is one they need.

Congratulations to all of the local organisers who have mobilised, contacted, leafletted and spoken to Bellway and set up a strong network of leaseholders affected by this issue. They were an inspiration to us all.
